Trump administration to roll back Obama rule on housing desegregation

Housing Secretary Ben Carson, who previously criticized President Barack Obama’s fair housing rule as “social engineering,” said the new rule would give people more affordable housing options in communities nationwide.

“Mayors know their communities best, so we are empowering them to make housing decisions that meet their unique needs, not a mandate from the federal government,” Carson said.

The goal is to boost the availability of affordable housing. But some housing advocates say it could put high-cost coastal cities with great housing needs, such as California, at greater risk of losing federal funds than smaller, less-expensive rural areas, which tend to be more supportive of Trump.

My city, population just went over 20K. In the 1960's this city ended any racism. A couple of years ago, a minister came to town 'to end segregation in our city'. One of the black leaders advised him he was at least 40 years too late.

Not with 100 million public school "graduates" under 40 who have been programmed to blame all their discomforts (real and imagined) on racist white men. In addition, nearly every news broadcast, movie and tv show today is loaded with that false message. The looting DS, elite, media want the people squabbling over imaginary issues while they attach the chains.
