Worth ten minutes to listen to the clip. Even better is listening to the entire show. This is portentous stuff...

If he's saying current fiscal debts are unsustainable, that's a fact.
If he's saying he knows when it will come to a head, he should get out of commentary and trade options and futures.
I get how that spike at the beginning of the week is concerning, but I can't tell when a crisis is coming. A mini-crisis is coming, but Beck doesn't know when.

    "Something is wrong..."

    Yeah, something is always wrong.

I don't like Beck and don't trust him.

He strikes me as a character not unlike McCain. I think he is perfectly comfortable to flip one way or the other, depending on his interest.

In that sense he is no different from anyone in the MSM.

So your objection to Beck isn't the data he provides, but simply your opinion of the man himself. At least you're honest about your bias.

To me, Beck provides too much background on the issues he dives into to be ignored. He has a singular gift of providing the history behind complex political machinations which provide valuable context. His chalkboard sessions are unparalleled as he unwinds complex relationship maps or historical precedence. Of all the conservative pundits, I find him to be the most valuable precisely for this reason. Rush is great as a personality and can also provide excellent analysis, but rarely the depth Beck does. Hannity is repetitive to a T, but I have to give him credit for helping to expose the Trump investigation hoax. To each his own.

No, It is not only my opinion of the man himself.

I used to listen to his program regularly on FOX until he left and started his own enterprise.

At that time he made some moves that I questioned on ethical grounds and stopped tuning to what he had to say.

He may be an excellent provider of analytical news but I did not take up the thread after his split.

        That is all to it.

Are we siblings somehow and don't know it? My path with Beck is the same as yours. I do tune in to him once in a great while on radio in the morning in the workshop for something to listen to besides all the other drivel. He's not the same as when he was on FOX, IMHO. I wonder if something happened to him.

Back at Fox he was at the beginning of waking up, many go through the same thing at first; the difference is, he had facts to back it up. Today, on his own network, he doesn't need the sensationalism, he's over the outrage...he has a proven track record and no one over him.

I've notice that none of the writing in my second book thus far contains No Ranting What so Ever, I'm over that part of waking up...now I just make the philosophical arguments and present my take on it all.

Are we siblings? I wish we were.

I always wanted a brother that was not meant to be so I grew up alone, all by myself.

I thought, as a child, that if I had a brother I would have a wider access to friends.

So in the absence of that, I was the boy and girl in the family, what they call a tomboy. Never really liked girls or women later on.

Look on the bright side Exceller. You may be better off without that brother. I have 2 and one I could do much better without! I also have a sister who is stuck in a liberal quagmire and totally opposite from the rest of the family.
As far as Beck goes I get the impression he does not know which side of the toast to butter.

                Thank you for your feedback.

Yes, you are correct. Considering that I am not on speaking terms with most of my relatives.

I was very young at the time and as I said I wanted to expand my base of friends so I thought an older brother (which was impossible, anyway) would help me accomplish that.

On Beck, that is exactly what I think of him.

Im curious what your reasons are for the mistrust? I understand that some folks just dont like others for either good, or no reason, chemistry. I` ve been around him a few times off stage, he struck me as professional, intense and funny - pretty much the same as the on stage guy. I believe he is like a modern day version of Mike Wallace on the old 60 minutes, speaking with facts and sources in hand. I wish he could choose between journalist and preacher, as a journalist, his drive to learn from and speak of our history, as well as a top notch research team is sorely needed.
