One thing I've noticed is also never discussed regarding Omar and her refugee Somali constituents. That is the fact that NONE of them or their ancestors have any history regarding American "racism" and cannot possibly be carrying any kind of ingrained "oppression" memory stemming from the American slave era (ended 150 years ago) or the Jim Crow era (effectively ended more than 50 years ago). Their "oppression" memory can only be from the SHIT HOLE America rescued them from. The police needs reinforcement not "diversifying" as the city council thinks: "city council acknowledges there is a crisis and is investing and diversifying its force to better represent the community."
