Accidentally Prophetic Book About Lying Government and USA Collapse

When I wrote the science fiction novel "The Seven-Point Star" in 2009 and revised it last year 2019, it was intended to be a challenge to organized medicine and government overreach. Toward its end, the government lies about a spreading infection and its treatment, and the USA collapses.

Much to my surprise, the novel not only is an attack of government's meddling in health care, but also a frighteningly accurate prediction of the false information about an infection and the collapse of our society.

It's far more relevant now than it was six months ago (early 2019).

See also for my other books and movies.

Guess I'll give the boy a read! I can't complain, my insurance allows me to access any specialists, for anything at any time. Fortunately for me, I am not on Medicare (unless I am out of my service area). But I was Director of Medical Records for an 81 bed hospital with 21 doctors and I could share some stories about that! Fill two books.

I too have pulled up a book I started quite a while ago and it is also very timely now but I can't get the ending I like yet. I'll look for your book. N

Sounds interesting, I'll check it out, got a ton of reading yet to do and another ton of work on my next book as well.

I started writing a story about 3 years ago that I couldn't find an ending for. Reading over what I wrote I am almost afraid to complete it. I might get arrested! It's about a military take-over of the U.S. that isn't what you think it is. I'm giving it a lot of thought. N

Go for it! If it sells more than one copy per year, it will do better than mine. But don't worry about upsetting the government unless you give away military secrets. I don't think anyone will risk making you a martyr and giving your book unwanted publicity.

More recently, I wrote a short prequel to that novel that is a medical mystery story. As does my older and full-length novel, it includes alternative-medicine concepts and challenges organized medicine. My ex-wife got a restraining order against me, and I am pretty sure this mystery novel is why.
