Some Great ones this week...

Not looking to get in the middle of the Chic-Fil-A and Popeye's stand off, I'll have my Credit Card at the ready should I see a Siamese Pear with a shared tattoo...

These are the best yet, some quite clever.

The one on trade with China-
There is a certain country, I am standing in it, (upside down?) where one third of total export value is with China. The idea is now out in the press that, '..time to bite the bullet'.

Infidelity - I want Sharia where it is punishable by stoning.

Risking my life for you ungrateful peasants-
Correction, I am not ungrateful. To prove I am a peasant you should have heard me laugh at
the morgue employee .. and the banjo player ...

    Loved the Sergeant Shwartz one!
    Princess Leia one was awesome!
    Family Feud one hit home.
Return of the Jedi one was off. They needed to light-scribe the bat to make it look like a light-saber... ;)

Good ones this week! I did get a LOL on One-Eyed Bob. Mostly because my husband is a professional violinist (fortunately he still has both eyes so far!)

Because we cruise a lot, I got a good laugh out of the paper straws. The cruise industry is where a lot of the fuss is coming from WRT straws. You should hear the complaints! For me, I just drink from the glass.

Love the racist President one - truer words, as they say.... and finally who could not love the A. A. R. P.?

    Great job!

Some guy is making straws out of pasta now...I would think they would be brittle and then get wimpy when wet.

Hahaha, ya think? "Wimpy when wet" has a great "vibe" to it :-)

Everybody is so upset with Royal Caribbean (don't know about the other lines) because they are serving paper straws with their drinks now. And I can relate - soggy wet paper isn't all that attractive with a $15.00 drink....gotta drink it up fast or else! For me it's no biggie - all my drinks are free and I use my mouth to drink them right out of the glass! Imagine that!

We had paper straws (waxed) back in the 50s/60s...don't remember them ever getting wimpy wet.

Yes, I remember the same thing, OUC. When all this straw hoopla hysteria swept the land I wondered why the old straw tech wasn't revived. When the new plastic straws replaced them they didn't make any difference in the drinking experience, but they did improve the spit wad and pea shooter experience!

Bet they don't wax these. Probably will cause a black hole to appear or something....

Has everyone forgotten how to make wax? You can still by wax paper...is it the same as it used to be?

                I haven't the slightest idea!

I know my cream still comes in wax cartons, and somewhere buried in the back of my pantry is a roller of waxed paper....but once parchment paper and non-stick foil came along, the waxed paper didn't stand a chance!

Waxed paper is the same as it used to be, but the cream and other liquid containers are actually poly coated paper, not wax. The poly is most likely polyethylene.

Thanks! I didn't know that! Interesting!

Polyethylene is a wax-like polymer which is a man made cousin of paraffin with a higher melting point. It even smells like wax when you burn it. Like wax, it isn't toxic and has no nutritional value, but I still wouldn't eat it because it's density makes it harder than wax and, therefore, if it's sufficient in size the digestive system has to work harder to pass through something the body has no use for.

Me dino laughed the loudest when I read the answer to "Are You happy with a racist president?"
Me dino laughed the second loudest when I read about "One Eyed Bob."
    Third, the First Grade teacher.
Thanks for reminding us what Michelle/Micky said during 2011 and showing us the most electable jackass
candidate in the Jackass Party as well as that photo of yourself rooting memes out of our mother earth.
    Thank you for your service.

    Imaginative foods
    - Sanders getting clues from the bottom of his cup
    - History of mental illness in family - liberal (this is a gem)!

    Thanks Carl, as always.

Honestly I’d be surprised if the Ron Swanson one isn’t the actual lines from the scene. Same for the Simpsons one. The Voodoo economics and Star Wars trilogy ones are rather clever.

Funny side note: my spellchecker kept trying to make it vodka economics.
