I saw Fountainhead in 1949 but not until I read Atlas in the summer of 1960 during my behavior mod quitting smoking program did I become enthralled. In October of 1960 I attended the first Objectivist course in Philadelphia with Barbara Branden and continued non stop until I went to grad school in 1962 where experimental psychology weaned me away..However I still see through those eyes in many ways. I do two blogs on Ayn Rand: aynrand2.blogspot and aroundtherandroidbelt.blogspot so I would love to hear from you there or here. I do want to say that Rand is nowhere near finished or over as she is just beginning. Zizek started this in his JARS article a few years back and I keep pounding away on my keyboard. Rand can ONLY be understood by reading her through Nietzsche, her only mentor, lover and enemy. All her fiction is Nietzschean. "Words that are written in blood are not to be read, but learnt by heart." - Nietzsche's advice to his readers and the 16 year old Rand took him at his word. She never wavered or faltered in her fiction. Always more to come from my mouth on this. I take no prisoners either. I intend to make her far more radical than she even thought she was.
