Jobs: It all comes down to value in the end

Ignore the politics of who "has it right". The one singular takeaway I wish for anyone to get from this is that the reason people have jobs is not to get wages and benefits, but to provide skills and labor IN EXCHANGE. You have to provide value to receive value. And it does no one any good to hide value derived on either side. Employers should be open and honest about how much the benefits they provide are worth. Employees should know so they appreciate and valuate exactly how much they are receiving in exchange for their labor and skills.

    One problem though Blarman.

Before people can appreciate anything in that exchange the "entitlement" mentality has to be beaten.

I completely agree. And it's going to be a tough fight. People have been conditioned for 50 years to believe this crap. It's going to take either a similar amount of time or a catastrophe to recondition them.
