I do not know these books, but the most important thing IMHO is critical thinking skills and math. With those you can go find your own data. I try very hard to show those to my kids and not give them any conclusions. They're going to go through phases of having various opinions, regardless of what I do, but the foundation of critical thinking, empiricism, and mathematical models are most important.
