No offense but it is hard to believe Richmond is the happiest large city. And Detroit happier than NYC? Sounds like the definition of "happiness" used needs work.
Interesting that the survey claims Washington DC is one of the happiest places. I did not see much happiness there when I chanced on a short visit. I know I would not be happy living there.
Well, if you were bilking billions from people you don't even know, wouldn't you be happy too. Sarcasm intended. Truthfully I would feel guilty all the days of my life if I lived off taxpayer money.
That's why I am trying to find out more information about this study.
Then again, the wealthiest counties in the nation are mostly DC suburbs (http://www.wtop.com/41/3594972/Americas-...), so if the study equates wealth with happiness (or at least a major part of it), it would certainly tip the scales in that direction...
Born and bred Washingtonian, here. I LOVE my city. I wish I still lived within the city limits. I have to say what I love about it is probably all of the effort that went into rescuing the original design during the early-part of the twentieth century. There’s a lot to marvel at, but you have to know where to look.
