I wasn't aware that this type of weapon even existed back in those days.

Take a look at the features though - that's some serious hardware - especially for that day and age.

  Yeah, saw that and agreed with the author of the article that said what whomever gave the chick that powerful of a handgun should be prosecuted for willful negligence at a minimum and possibly even 2nd degree murder. Absolutely reprehensible.
