A long read, but great economics

I would ignore the book entirely, but the critical analysis of just why the book is wrong is valuable insight into just why so many politicians make bad economic policy decisions.

    I would wager if the politicians actually read the book themselves instead of having someone brief them on it, far fewer would base policy decisions on its arguments, which are a stretch at best. The evidence presented showing that fortunes inherited are not keeping families in power in this nation is compelling enough reason to discount this work as tripe.

    Wow, a new, modernized version of Capital? I haven't even read the original version by Karl Marx (I tried, but it was mostly incomprehensible nonsense). Now this Thomas Piketty fellow has decided he wants to ride on the coattails of Marx by writing his own version of Marx's infamous "classic" for the 21st century? I hope smart economists can refute what he says, and that their writings will override his in the opinion of the general public. Otherwise, the future of our nation looks very grim...
