This is interesting, can anybody say, National Science Institute? Get free grant money for putting out papers that fit the progressive agenda. Why is this hard to believe when students do it all the time for their teachers. How many kids have written papers on a topic knowing they'd get a good grade becasue of the subject matter?
Does anyone believe that the scientific community is more vigilant today than in the past? So, if retractions are going up in a more permissive environment, then that only seems to indicate even more dishonesty in science publishing.
Oh yeah. No surprise here. We're talking big money now, big money. You bet a lot of studies are bull hockey. You have to actually know the person who did the study in order to decide if it's legit or not. I've done that in some cases. It's pretty enlightening...
I've even been involved in studies, firsthand, and seen the wrong conclusion published, picked up by the AP, and accepted as gospel. Very thankful for that education...
Science is very dead in America. Very.
