What I'd like to see is defining of human rights, then maybe there would be no need to keep on designing rights for special (interest) groups.
Too often, a claimed right of one group is not a right but a want or desire and requires an imposition on another group for it to satisfied.

What I have in mind is freedom to speak and express opinions (even unpopular opinions) without persecution (criticism is of course ok). There are property rights, to associate, and the right to leave. Such a forum could set rules on what governments must do, may do, and must not do.

There is a need to define government and human obligations concerning those living creatures who are not fully functioning adult humans. Example- education and protection of children from forced labor and mutilation. Libertarian/Objectivist theory is weak in that area, it means government at some level is necessary and raises the question of who and how it should be paid for.

The comment below the article about the UN is dead right, a worse than useless entity. A set of malign dictatorships engaged in voting is not democracy, the procedure of voting by itself gives no moral authority.

Depends what you're talking about. If you're simply referring to government welfare, then yes, I would agree.
