Any amateur mycologists in the Gulch?

The season of the elusive Morel is here, and I need some advice to help break my perfect record of finding jack year after year.

Some background:
I live in CT - not a morel hotspot, but we still get some.
I live near a lot of woods, streams, and ponds.
It was a heavy winter.
So far, it has been a cool spring.
I know the basic trees to look near and to stay away from.

Any other advice would be appreciated.
