Nothing earthshatteringly new here. I feel sorry for all the customers. If the merger happens your customer service will be worse -hard to imagine. What 's more disturbing is the overwhelming control of content.

A little bit of insider news, I'm a contractor for comcast and we've been having meetings about what we can do to improve customer service. They're calling 2014 "The year of the customer." So I don't think it's that we aren't trying.

I think the thing to remember here, is that we shouldn't be placing too much blame on comcast or any other business that buys political favors. Honestly, the majority of humans care very little about philosophy and morals, but care deeply about making money. With that in mind, you can't get infuriated by a company using an easy tool that the voters placed right in front of them.

The point I want to make is keep your thoughts towards the system that allows this to happen. We as a group of individuals have way more influence over government than we do over a corporation. We need to focus on reducing any politicians/political parties ability to interfere in the market at all. Then Comcast or any corporation can buy all the politicians they want, because they won't get any favors by doing so.

I wonder who really bought who. More and more of our media is being concentrated in the hands of fewer and fewer. Maybe it's not all about profits.

it's an awesome opportunity for Hulu and Netflix and others. Customers of both Time Warner and Comcast have been frustrated over contract negotiations with networks. But controlling 1/3 of the marketplace, hmmm. state TV is on the march, I guess
