How about all the people that think that we are causing the world to heat up by releasing carbon dioxide into the atmosphere and we should stop using fossil fuels. Non of then should use any electricity that is produced by fossil fuel, coal, oil and natural gas or they would be considered a hypocrite.

No one wants to stop burning stuff today because the entire world's lifestyle depends on it. I buy 100% electricity from renewable carbon-neutral sources, but that alone won't solve the problem because we still need to maintain the coal- and gas-fired plants for times when demand is high and wind/sun aren't available.

I don't think I'm a hypocrite even when I burn stuff to produce things people want. We should use the world to provide things we want. My running a reflow oven incurs a small cost on future generations but provides something someone wants right now. Someone building a noisy factory might destroy value of the surrounding land but create value for many people. We just have to balance it and make our activities a net positive, not an unwilling transfer from someone else to us.

The incidence of CO2 over the past few years has been much more extensive than the previous 100 years, yet the warming has not been increasing. So, man-made global warming is fallacious.
