Webinar: Hands-On in a Nanotechnology Classroom

including myself (Prof. Jim Brenner of Florida Tech)
sponsored by Nanoscience Instruments
11 AM Eastern time on Thursday, April 3rd

Hands-On in a Nanotechnology Classroom
A webinar highlighting nanotechnology programs for high school, college, university and professional development, hosted by Nanoscience Instruments

Does hands-on experience with nanotechnology tools impact learning? Is curriculum already available? Where does funding come from for these programs? What roadblocks have others encountered and how were they overcome?
If you are seeking answers to these questions, then please join us for a webinar with instructors presenting from Wheeling High School, San Bernardino Community College and Florida Institute of Technology.

Our presenters:
Lisa del Muro is a high school science teacher from Wheeling High School in Wheeling, Illinois. Lisa specializes in nanotechnology, AP Environmental Science and Physics.
Megan Crail is the Interim Assistant Director of the Applied Technology Training Center (ATTC) from the San Bernardino Community College District (SBCCD). The focus is on training in technology fields based on needs in the San Bernardino area.
Dr. Jim Brenner is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Florida Institute of Technology. He co-founded a nanoscience minor program to introduce engineering students to the principles and tools used in nanotechnology.

This webinar will be held from 11 AM to 12 PM EDT on Thursday, April 3, 2014.

During the webinar I will acknowledge the National Science Foundation. I want it to be clear that I got the last of the money a few months prior to reading Atlas Shrugged and going Galt. What is done is done. I have "gone and sinned no more" against AS values since, but that doesn't change the past.
