"For those who think Ayn Rand was just crazily overwrought in the "unrealistic" characters she created to dramatize the anti-capitalist mentality, you might want to see this addendum to the Kickstarter page of comic artist John Campbell, who raised over $50,000 on Kickstarter to publish a book of his comics Sad Pictures for Children."

Here's a prime example of a twisted psycho-epistemology. His comics are sick, too. But if he took the Kickstarter money, he is guilty of breach of contract and is trying to worm his way out of it. What a pathetic human being, a man with no honor.

Am I missing something, or hasn't this guy committed fraud? As in find a DA in his state to do the "Go directly to jail, do not pass Go, do not collect 200 dollars" thing?

Just a few years past and people would have been able to sic the post office on him for mail fraud. He has admitted he is not honoring his promise to mail the copies out. Nowadays I don't think the p.o. cares or bothers to follow up on consumer complaints. Indicative of all federal agencies, considering just today the news finally broke that border agents are not to shoot at drug trafficking vehicles, etc. It is a kinder, gentler, more stupid, greedier, lazier, self-absorbed, not-my-problem, who gives a rat's ass, I got mine and I want yours, nation. yay.

Kind of reminds me of all those that bought stock in D'Anconia enterprises and a certain Mexican railroad. You get what you pay for. It seems like this guys actions are the logical result of the mind that would create his "comics".

Sit in a room and think, huh? Perhaps he could "think" about where this money originates. Scumbag socialists always miss that one. I hope he gets sued into the ground.

Somehow I think that yon scamartist and faux-stripper should be sued for breach of contract. And perhaps Kickstarter could go after him as well. Seems like he's disappointed a lot of people, but then again, after seeing the example strip, I am not suprised at that either.

    Bleech.

After reading the story, my mind raced into action. Here we have a prime example of a future where everyone has a bank account or electronic account where someone puts money into it so they can pay living expenses. The sum deposited depending of course upon what a government believes they need to survive. Removes the rich and poor status making everyone equal, in monetary equality that is. I cannot say this is a first after all we do have the welfare system that has allowed others to sit at home and do nothing while the rest of us work harder so they can live.
