That was passion. That was a warning. Let's hope enough people hear it.

Gun control is a passionate issue for the left like abortion is an issue for the right.

What folks need to realize is that ALL rights for ALL people must be respected. We need to stop imposing religion and other views upon each other.

Yes, Hiraghm... the moment EVERYONE agrees on "when life begins."

EVERYONE. Then the problem will vanish.
Wanna place bets on whether that will ever happen?

No Hiraghm, NO. The "unborn" aren't "people."

Even (for the sake of argument) if they are considered "people" I'm sure you would respect the right of the host to toss them out rather than sentence them to provide everything another "person" needs for 9 months.

Even if you invite a guest into your home, if they don't leave when you ask them to I'll bet you will escalate rather than allow them to take everything they need from you.

I wonder if Hiraghm would ever conceive (pardon the expression) of a fetus' actual role as a parasite to its host?

            :)

I'm beginning to see such rigidity as dues for a particular clique. Say the right things and be accepted. Vary and be rejected. Sort of the same way censorship works around here. Toe the line and be accepted, don't get folks to think.

That was great. Wish we could import more people like him.
I know a couple old-timers from Serbia, Czech Republic, and Russia. They have no delusion about what is happening here. They say things in a way that most Americans could never bring themselves to say. They are just full of piss and vinegar. They are not weak or shy or PC or scared; nor do they have any doubt that what they had left, is now here.
They tell me with their thick accents, things like:
"The blood, it is coming to America! It will be on the streets. Government wants total surrender of people, and time and time again they get it. But America will be different, because there is *private* guns, and so long as that is, government will always be afraid to take the first step. If people give up the guns, its over for all us and there is no place left to run."
They have seen that 'utopian' society, and KNOW that its end result is inevitably, death. The intensity in their eyes does not hide the repressed fear of knowing that they or their children *must* either relive history or change the future; there is no other option: life or death; existence or non-existence.

Gotta love it when the people who have been there speak up and tell you you are making a mistake. Too bad the politicians don't care.

Very moving! The man speaks the truth. Many have died to fight the communist/Marxist menace... There was a time not that long ago when anyone expressing support for such was ostracized and demonized... Now things are different... The PC. police and the politicians are bringing change we can not believe in...

Wow! This man is the type of immigrant I knew when living in El Paso and New Mexico. All they wanted was a chance at an honest wage. They loved this country and did not want to change it, as the lunkhead in the White House would do.. Rand saw it coming, these people have lived the results in other countries. Only the little liberal so-called intelligent group fail to see even Marx nearly staved his own family to death and was supported by rich friends. What did he know? So too, do we have a Prez who, with a like story, was supported always by rich friends. The local lawmakers go for the positions merely to get the pensions. They rarely consider the consequences of their votes and decrees.Few really know anything about history.

A moving speech indeed. I'm guessing the already dead pen pushers it was aimed at, won't be moved though. One angry voice among a herd of compliant sheep. A valiant but futile effort. Pitiful really.
