Note this is a russian publication. I 'm interested. Everything is poised around oil. What I think is fascinating though is that Norway has become weak due to extremist viros who work to shut down their most important industry.

Wild thought. Based on the inevitable answer to the question Where in the world is General Carmen San Diego. Once the legacy building is spun and the successor put in charge of the Cycle of Economic Repression it's just a matter of time.

Right now it's Bulgaria to Ukraine, western Europe and now Norway versus the Russians.

And don't forget Iran. A setup if ever was.

    Got it!

Restart the Cold war and start a new hot war. Blame it on Obama and Kerry/Clinton
    - which explains why one isn't running, one is pretending to run and the other is running away.

Cycle of Repression - Coming to neighborhoods near you.

reference Google Carlos Marighella, Tupamaro, Uruguay, 1960s.

I have traveled in Norway and met many levels of society. Norwegians of all stripes would fight to the death for their country and its freedom. That does not mean they are wise in their Christian socialist policies but they are above all Norwegian and remember the horror of the Nazi occupation deeply and personally. Americans have no idea what being an occupied country does to its people. The real fear is the Baltic countries who only recently, like the Ukraine, escaped the Russian bear. AN American president who would stand up to the Russians can make the difference but not a pragmatist one.

thanks for your perspective. I don't know-but the show originates in NOrway. and this response by a Russian statist blog is also interesting. I just don't buy that "occupied" countries necessarily rebel against attempts. WWII is NOT fresh in 20 somethings' minds :(

WWII is not fresh here but that is my point. In Norway families still know what it was like to have both a Quisling and a member of the Underground. Look at the American Civil War and families still tell the stories. Walk into any village in Norway and ask which house the Quisling lived in and they can tell you. I helped a family go through the grief of having their daughter stoned at school because the kids thought her father was a Quisling when he was a secret member of the underground. She didn't find out he was a hero until after the war and her scars were still there decades later.
Please recognize just how special the United States really is in the world. Your experience cannot grasp the horror of living in a country where everyone lies to survive. Think about it.

Even in the States, the younger generations have shown a healthy interest in WWII. Both from a standpoint of immediate family - I once asked my father "What did you do during WWII?" - Now many youngsters are asking "What did grandpa do during WWII"? and from a standpoint of fascination with some of the details. It is interesting to see the fascination that some of the youngsters have at museums and events like airshows featuring vintage aircraft.

I was born 10 years after WWII ended, and was raised on the heroism but not the horrors. For some decades it was typical of that war generation to not talk about it. It just got popularized through TV shows like Combat, Rat Patrol, etc and movies where the good guys always won. And so we played war on the front lawn with plastic guns and nobody dies - permanently.

Later on, the magnitude of it all has really sunk in, it is a favorite history topic. It is great to me to see the young ones show such interest.

I like your sense of history as alive. I live in a house where just 300 yards away are the graves of the sons of this house who fought and died for the Union in the civil war. They were in the 19th Maine Infantry Volunteers and behind the walls on Cemetery Ridge. July 3rd 1863. I served in the descendent unit of the 20th Maine who held Little Round Top, "To The Last Man." was our awarded unit banner. We never forget. Why would Norwegians,
