found another poem from the past....... the bulldozer woman (I gave her a toy dozer for the dashboard of her car, in which she was living. . kinda)
Not [just] Once, Tamara
I love you now
for all you are
and J is not
Someday might love you -- wow! --
for all you are
and I am not
Friends when times are tough --
real friends may be enough --
warm solace when it's rough
We only go 'round once?
but once is not enough!
Within your dreams ensconce
treasures of comfort -- buff
and polish them to glow --
someday you'll need them so!
(when all else seems but woe--)
Anchor your hope in truth
laugh, live -- yes, explore --
until the dream bears fruit:::
when your love warms, forever!

a guy in my apartment complex back then, a very pretty and
sexy woman who had said yes to the wrong man ... I told her to
be the bulldozer and power out of the situation. . she couldn't
go home to mama nor afford her own place. . I bought her
a car and she began to repay me slowly. . I still have
blank checks signed by her from that era. . and we thought
that we might have had more than just friendship.............
so I wrote this little thing and printed, signed and framed it .......
then Good Luck arrived and she found Mr. Right in a local
businessman / engineer whom she later married.
she gave it back to me, as she moved in with him.
these little sagas make up a 15 year gap between marriages,
for me. . some built more confidence than others, like this one!!! -- j
