You're About to See an Incredibly Rare Cloud, and It's Proof the Climate Is Changing

So this scare article has a decent enough tag line; "Proof the Climate is changing". I noted though that there is one line saying that "The more methane released, the more water vapor is up there" but it is not substantiated. They also say they were first seen after Krakatoa went up in 1885. They infer some direct relationship, yet it also is not substantiated. Then they just had to add some little tidbits of "possibly due to climate change" read: Haven't got the foggiest clue but had to put that in for political purposes so we can keep our grant" or some such. Bottom line, these are really cool looking as the sun reflects off them after dark due to angle of attack and their height. I still would prefer the Aurora coming south.....

“We believe that these clouds are a really sensitive indicator.”
"possibly “due to a change in climate,”
The initial theory was that they were related to volcanic dust
"Carbon dioxide also may play a role"
“Rockets can put a lot of water vapor in the atmosphere; they inject it very high in altitude,”

    And finally something that's true:
"it’s too early to identify a single culprit. To make such a link would require removing other possible causes such as the solar cycle. "
    "We don’t really know why.”

Gee, you think that big hot yeller thang in the sky could do this?

The fact is this "scientist" hasn't a f%^*ing clue about this phenomenon, but he has to make an announcement with lots of unsupportable speculation to stir the pot and keep the drones as true believers.

Yet another exhibit of Yahoo and Bloomberg quality "news".

You are right about Bloomberg and Yahoo. but I have also seen virtually the same snippets in other services as well. It seems anything and everything is reduced to 5-7 short paragraphs of not very detailed assumptions and characterizations and then peddled as fact. I guess politics has spread, and the Internet is fertile ground....

Indeed, I was watching "Nasa Unexplained Files" tonight (which are actually all explained), but one episode talked about noctilucent clouds appearing after each space shuttle launch for about 3 days afterward. So it seems they are pretty common from anything that goes way high and spews water vapor. It seems almost that they system just needs to keep stirring the pot. Now they are all screaming on the west Coast about El Nino, that it is going to be "terrible" and compare it to 1997. I got to Oregon in 1996, and the winter of 1997 was just one wind and rain storm after another. Solves the drought, and is what you expect from the Gulf of Alaska. Yet someone always makes it "the killer".

    Yes the climate is changing.

Wow it colder in winter and warmer in summer.

How is that news? Been doing that for billions of years.

Let's be clear: those who deny that the climate changes; that is to say, the REAL "climate change deniers," are denying the proof of their own eyes.

Yup, Hot in Summer Cold in Winter, Snow in the mountains.

Rain at times, Sleet at times, Hurricanes on east cost, Hurricanes on West Coast during El Nino.

Had fog yesterday morning, all cause by nature NOT man.

If the El Nino is a strong as 97, then we will have a rough winter of storms. My house is side on to the west, and when the winds ripped she thought it was scary, as the house would creak....Normal weather.

Indeed. Do these people really believe that the climate does not change? It has changed continuously during my lifetime. And isn't it interesting that "global warming" has morphed into "climate change"!

Yes, the climate is changing and it is the very opposite of what is being jammed into your subconscious.Fear not your SUV nor your carbon footprint...your going to need them. Look up the Maunder Minimum, then go to suspicious0bservers,org ;this group and it's inventor are the among the most honest, non politically connected climate observers on this planet. The changes on earth are nothing compared to the changes we are seeing on the other planets. Can you handle the truth? What if I told you that all the sociological wackiness plays right into the cycles of creation and the cycles of civilizations. Mankind could have dealt with these fact much better if we had been empowered with knowledge to actually be the very best we could be. But that would of broken the rules of Kakistocracy's.

These enviromental scientist don't have their neo-cortex intact or fully developed or maybe no more developed than T-Rex. They're talking about an 11 year cycle for this cloud formation sound familiar, the Sun spot cycle! There are so many factors that effect the weather. Have they even plugged into to their models likes events happening in outer space. Like all the meteoric dust that falls on the earth everyday, the variation of the Earths magnetic field, of course the Sun, or all the space junk that slowly burns up in our atmosphere. Even the Cosmic Rays that causes the Auroras at both poles causing the ionization of the upper atmosphere. Speaking of which HAARP does the same thing, oh yes, Russia and China have one too. I think Russia is targetting BHO's brain.

Good point, all good science has to take into account all possible variables and prove it by experimentation. Right now, it's a sci-babbel.But the masses keep eating it up and burdening us with the results. It is dry in Oregon this year, and they are all screaming "Global Warming" I am waiting for the genius's to ban cars...

You can blame climate change for any change in the weather. As to the reality of it, since our tabulations of the time we've been testing from the time the planet cooled enough to have a climate could be compared to a nanosecond in an hour. Not enough data to prove climate change is a phenomena caused by man, or just the earth doing what the earth does.

Indeed, in several other discussions on the same type of thing, I think it was said Climate is measured in 30 year increments, meaning man has only had 5 cycles to screw up and nature had a million. Nature wins...

The university of colorado leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to weather prediction. They have for the past 6 years predicted lots of hurricanes off of the east coast and none has occurred because the weather pattern i.e. the flow of air from west to east has pushed the storms east of the coast. Also, they do not take into consideration the these large storms need warm water to survive and the water temperature is not as warm as it had been years ago. Hence no hurricanes. As far as these clouds are concerned they have appeared for centuries just like the ozone hole and what ever effect these phenomena have on the climate it is not particularly note worthy, unless of course you want to believe the world is getting warmer, which it isn't.

I've seen images like this one in alarmist posts about heavy-metal pollution of the air, and the allegation--called the Chemtrail Conspiracy--that the United States Air Force, the Federal Aviation Administration, and just about every commercial airline that overflies the United States, are conspiring together to inject heavy-metal ions into the atmosphere to poison the people below.

It may very well be that there’s an increase in noctilucent clouds, and that that increase is associated with a global climate change. I don’t know. What I do know that correlation does not indicate causation. I also know that the climate is cyclical. See, for example, the 4 seasons. That climate change happens on a yearly basis and there’s plenty of evidence that this planet experiences climate changes on a larger cycle as well. How do we know that’s not the case now?

My problem with the current climate change debate is that it seems a setup to implement some sort of global control over people. A carbon tax? Really? Have they finally figured out a way to tax the air we breath. After all, there are 7 billion people on this planet and each time someone exhales they introduce carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.

There you go..you have summed the problem up. It's about control, and power, and authority. Which pretty much sums up human history for the last 3K years or so...

The church of climate change... the religion of communists/socialists.

There is NO man-made climate change, PERIOD. It's remarkable to me that we know the Earth's climate has had ongoing change for billions of years, we're now the cause of it.

Only the hubris of liberals makes such a patently absurd hypothesis possible.

Actually the article says these clouds "first appeared" after Krakatoa blew its top. Which was in 1883 not 1885. It should be saying that the clouds were first identified as such at that time. Which is also questionable.

I saw a noctilucent cloud once in my life. That was back in the 1980's and I was in Northern Arizona. Definitely cool.

But then they go on to say that they are usually visible in the polar regions but are now being seen at 40 degrees latitude. Gee, Arizona is even further south. But, to the point, in the same mindset of making long drawn speculative conclusions regarding "climate change", water vapor, etc, isn't it just as easy to say that since they are more common in polar regions and are spreading south - wouldn't that imply global cooling?

Exactly my point about the Nasa program, I believe they launch in Florida, so seeing the clouds there kinda poofs the statement "only in polar regions". Maybe naturally, but there are many reasons why they can be moving south (naturally) that just means something is a little different, not that the world is ending. This article was illustrative of how people are getting manipulated by junk media. And right now, a lot of media is real junky, IMHO.
