Note that with Barclay's, they had already set aside money to cover the fines. They knowingly engaged in the fraud because they knew the punishment would be less than what they stood to gain.

    The only punishment that fits the crime is to revoke the companies charters and to sieze ALL assets of the banks in US territory. Then those assets must to used in entirety to establish a separate banking system and to close the Fed forever.
    Salty is right, the Fed is just as guilty, and it has been for 102 years.

    The fines are a slap on the wrist and a tiny precentage of the amount they stole in this cartel within a cartel.

      Agreed. They have the sanction of government in a quid pro quo arrangement. They should all be shut down, assets returned to owners, and the employees should be prosecuted for fraud.

    I find it significant and interesting that the U.S. Federal Reserve Bank is not charged, and that is PRECISELY what they're doing, and for the same reason.
