Dp; you're not totally off-base with your post. A fairly lively discussion was held within the last month or two and this topic was one of several. Admin determined that we should use our up/down votes more on those posts that we like and on those we don't like. It's also appropriate to comment on the post, that you question how a certain post is relative to a site dedicated to Objectivism and AR.

Dpwebb, I think I understand to some degree what you are saying. Could you make it more clear for me by making a post that you consider to be an example of a post that will accomplish your goal for the Gulch?

My post was not intended to stifle conversation about gender race or religion. Although, I do believe these conversation rarely lead to anything constructive and almost always give venue to "you" (the small minded introverts - pretending to be extroverts - that believe its intellectually stimulating to create divide within humanity)

It is merely a personal opinion, in a nut shell I would like to see a change in perspective from the general population where people begin identifying themselves as 'human beings' first rather than deriving an identity from their nationality. This would be an excellent start in our unification.

Mamaemma - this post is a good example, it promotes expression without degradation to gender race or religion.

P.s. As for who are "they", a third person pronoun referring to a group of two or more individuals is about all I can come up with.
