Now this is a reason I don't want to fly, when you cannot get your desktop to behave on an ongoing basis, you then get on a plane with the same type of stuff in it, only it controls it? The lack of good backup systems for "computer" controled aircraft, is a disaster waiting to happen, several crashes have already been found to have been caused by issues with computer systems and things feeding them, and then coming to bad conclusions, such as the Air France flight that crashed in mid Atlantic after the pitot tube iced over, and the pilots basically slowed the plane until it stalled out. Software always is imperfect, and finding a little "bug" at 36,000 feet is not a good thing.
