Can anybody tell me why she's the darling of the feminists? If she hadn't married Bill, she'd be some third rate ambulance chasing hack. In other words, she COULDN'T have made it without her husband. If they want a strong woman who made it on her own terms, why not someone like Carly Fiorina? As far as I know, she doesn't have any of that kind of baggage.

  Salty Dog, she is the darling of the feminists because the feminists are NOT pro-woman. If the feminists were all about a self made woman, they would be all about Sarah Palin for one. Whether someone agrees with her politics or not, she did not achieve her status on her husbands coattails, like Hillary Rodham.
  When I graduated from dental school less than 1% of the dentists were women. People always asked me if I was a feminist, and I said NO! I am an individualist!

      Actually I think McCain threw it away when he suspended his campaign. In any case the crash pretty well closed the race.
      
      For a very short period of time after he announced Palin he was ahead.
