Yes, think on the source site, the Dark Center Propaganda aka Washington Post.
There are a couple of truths buried in this fear mongering piece:
"it is believed to be the result of “natural internal variability” in the climate system."
Translation- Climate Changes Naturally over time
    and
“The mechanisms that really drive its evolution don’t seem to have a lot of predictability beyond about a year,” he says.
Translation- They can't predict anything past a year with any accuracy, and in my experience they don't do very well in less than a year either, except perhaps that winter will be colder than summer.

In spite of these observations by scientists, the fear-mongers at the DCP have to speculate endmessly in favor of their fraudulent global warming left-wing conspiracy tale.

    AND About the author,
"Mooney was born in Mesa, Arizona, and grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana. Both of his parents were college English professors. He attended Isidore Newman School before entering Yale University, where he graduated with a B.A. in English in 1999"

He has written exclusively on science, although he has no science training. Consistently his writing has been critical to conservative groups and scientists, and in favor of liberal pseudo-science. We are supposed to listen to and believe a biased hack, preaching about science he doesn't understand.
Penn Gillette should do an episode on this merde mouth and others like him.

Excellent points and good work. I tend to just post these tidbits to stimulate discussion of some of the more off the wall topics. Your point of totally unqualified people pontificating is well made, and is a real key in understanding why 50% of the people in the country have no friggin idea what is happening and can be so easily controlled by the Empire.

A more reasonable explanation can be found on Anthony Watt's site: http://wattsupwiththat.com/2015/04/09/wa...

Now that sounds a lot more reasonable, since we live next to the BLOB. We have seen a persistent ridge build in from the south over and over again in the last 8-10 monts, made for some long hot days, and basically started the trees and bushes out in January. I took my studded ties off Jan 21, as we had no chance of any more ice or snow. Yet the East side of the Cascades on tot he East coast got hammered over and over and we see that now if is shifting to Thunderstorms and tornadoes. Looks like the Midwest could have a rough spring, cause the ridge keeps coming back.

Well when the toes hit the beach a few more degrees warmer on a cold winter's sunrise surf session could be a good thing. At least we'll get rid of the wimpy coral, and keep the strongest.

    Aloha, see on the waves
