This is so bizarre you would think it was a bad movie plot. WTF is a 73 yo doing with a gun and a taser and not knowing the difference. He is responsible for his actions, whether intentional or not.

Some things about this don't exactly ring true.

It's been a long time since cops were allowed to carry double action revolvers. That means that the pistol had to be cocked before firing. Secondly, a revolver's shape doesn't feel at all like a stun gun. If the officer was carrying a Glock, I might be OK with in the heat of the moment they both felt the same and out of force of habit he racked on into the chamber and pulled the trigger.

I dunno. It seems a little off-center to me.

he whole thing smells like dead fish. 73 years old is not what I would call "prime age group" for this stuff. Evidently he had a long history of donating to them and they sort of "let him in". Their mistake.
