Having worked for a company that did jobs subject to Davis-Bacon laws, I became closely acquainted with its requirements and eventually is dark history. It is also no wonder that our road construction and maintenance costs are so high - a purely State construction project can pay less than 1/2 what it costs for a Federal construction project (Davis-Bacon mandates at least $35/hr for all workers + very lenient overtime).
