A REALLY insightful primer on the economic model used in NCAA Basketball. Kind of makes you want to be Northwestern.

NCAA basketcase, almost as interesting as watching grass grow.
Just another circus to distract the sheep.

I have a great idea for a reality show.
Gather the heads of all the congressional committees, blindfold them, and take them secretly to a deserted island of the coast of Antartica.
    Then leave.

Just another example of The Aristocracy of Pull. Imagine being one of the people who decides where the money goes. Think you'd get your ass kissed, or be offered incentives?
    Edit: punctuation

There are very few college students in college athletics. College athletics is just mini-professional, thinly veiled with stupid rules in response to "newspaper" issues.
The original point was to have well-rounded people.

I thought they had been proven to be students. After all, you can't pass an exam in "Physics for Poets" or "Applied Elasticity of Spherical Objects" unless you are actually a student.

For professional sports I rather favor the Brooklyn Dodgers.
