I like the point made - well, "like" in the sense that it's horribly true - that, when one confronts a greenie with facts, one is met by "solar panels!" "hybrid cars" and the like. I have used solar panels to heat water in Colorado. works GREAT, with 320 days of sunlight a year, even with fixed panels. But we should use each technology where it works best, and transport is part of using the technology.
