I just watched ASP3 for the umpteenth time and decided my favorite scene was in Galt's home on Dagny's last night in the Gulch. The scene where they spoke through a closed door was up there with the best I've seen for staging, scripting, and acting in any movie.

Got to be when John told the idiots in the torture chamber, "replace the fuse." John has a more technical response in the book but the message is the same: "you guys are idiots."

After watching it a few times, I have come to the realization that this movie should be considered an adaptation of the book, and a good one at that, much like when Shakespeare's plays are presented by various theatrical troupes. Of the thousands of presentations, which is the definitive version? I have the feeling that AS will have countless adaptations over the coming millenia, and wouldn't doubt an in-depth miniseries in not too many years.

True, it is an adaption, and considering all that it takes to make a movie, and especially of a very deep and most philosophically important book, all three "episodes" did fulfill the purpose of "hoping more will read the book" (and hopefully progress to learning about Objectivism).

As to "an in-depth miniseries", it was posted sometime back that such was being considered (15 episodes each year for three years [?])..........which is the only vehicle that could come close to portraying the book "in depth". As an adaption and "interest sparking" vehicle, I believe ASIII did a credible job and enjoyed it as such.

And, again, thank you John A. and all involved for doing what no one else has done before (after 50+ years).

The best scene that comes to my mind, was in both parts II and III. It is when John Galt comes upon Dagny's plane wreck and introduces himself.

    That one sends shivers...

My favorite scene is when Dagny shoots the guard who won't allow her and associates rescue John Galt.
