Gun Control for mental patients "shot down" by Federal Courts
Please note that the restrictions on gun ownership for legitimately mental patients was not overturned. In other words, he was being denied due process and as a result, his Second Amendment rights were being unjustly curtailed.

In spite of the nuttiness that's taken us over here in Colorado, I can still go into a store and buy an AR-15 with nothing more than the Federal 4473 - and while state law says I have to submit to a background check if I buy a gun from a neighbor, I can tell you that law is being roundly ignored.
Mrs. Animal and I are still looking for property in Alaska, though. Our personal Gulch will be somewhere in the Kenai Peninsula.
