DOJ: Employers Can’t Discriminate Against Transgendered

Our Founding Fathers were such failures. Why couldn't they see that in more than 200 years men would want to be women (and vice-versa), and that this desire should be a right? We are so blessed to have our Dear Leader's Attorney General, Eric Holder, to make these failures of our Founding Fathers Clear.

And while I'm at it, why did they bother with Articles I and III, when only Article II really matters. I mean, this is an autocracy, right?

Lay off all of your employees and then bring back as contractors only the ones who provide value.

If everyone did that, the health insurance industry would collapse from loss of customers, and the price of health care service would plummet.
      Unintended consequences abound!

        I disagree.
The insurance companies would retool to provide policies individual buyers could understand, afford, and want to buy.
It would return insurance to market forces and prices would go down.

Affordable insurance would be one of the benefits.

There is no such thing as affordable medical care insurance. The structure of the product is faulty to deliver good care without accelerating costs of care because the industry is built on the element of chipping the pot. Insurance bases its profit as a percentage of cost of services provided so increasing service cost results in larger insurance profits. Insurance is the primary reason why the cost of medical care is high. With medical care insurance as it has been provided, there is no free market mechanism to provide feedback to reduce medical care costs by reducing demand. Insurance fans the flame of demand and drives up the cost of care because the patient/customer feels more pain from his medical condition than from the cost imposed to provide treatment for it. There must be a complete change to the product so that it no longer even resembles traditional medical insurance in order to have any significant effect on costs of medical care. Is it possible for the industry to change? Yes, but imo the change will come from outside the industry.
That does not mean the current government control is an improvement; It merely exacerbates the problem as all previous government medical care progams have in the past. It is a near perfect example of Einstein's definition of insanity: keep doing the same thing (that failed in the past) and expect a different result.

Well that is illegal too. If someone is working exclusively for a company they must be on the payroll or the employer will be fined and made to pay all employee taxes.
