Duh. This is what I've been arguing since those things entered the market.

Oh, and they don't even cover ALL the costs - the batteries wear out and have to be replaced about every five years, adding another $8K-10K to the cost of the car...

Thanks, but I'll stay with my nice little 4-cylinder GASOLINE engine. Now if only we could get rid of ethanol...

Considering the materials and manufacturing required to produce these cars, they undoubtedly produce a net increase in pollution, just not at the tailpipe.

Like nearly everything pushed by the green agenda, its only effective benefit is to make the user feel good about themselves.

In all other respects a negative rather than a positive.
