Truth is stranger than fiction

Wow. And weren't there musings about why North Korea's bumbling leader hasn't been seen in months anyway?

The scary thing is that this really is an act of war that is being completely ignored.

Hey, he is smoking a good Cuban - probably a Cohiba. BTW - if Barry has his way maybe we common folk can enjoy a good Cuban cigar. Just a thought.
Ever read Netforce by Clancy? No longer fiction.

Loved Clancy. His death was both a tragedy to the military fiction genre and highly suspicious. I still have hardback copies of all his earlier works before the NetForce ones. After he started pairing up, the writing style changed and the plots didn't have quite as much oomph in them, but then it was a pretty high bar...

After the first couple I gave up on all the "Tom Clancy's" books written by anyone but him. But even his own seem to have become hopelessly tame after 9/11. He must have bought it when idiots told him he inspired the bad guys.

Then again, his rosy vision of senior federal bureaucrats as a team of honest good guys shows that he never worked there. It's too bad we don't have a "Jack Ryan" willing to round THEM up and put them all away.

Let me offer another perspective: this is NOT the result of North Korean hackers but, rather, our own government hackers. The Administration didn't want our Dear Leader embarrassed by this film's content/portrayal of him & his office. Ergo, surface the dirt on the Sony Exec.s, etc. Additionally, this serves as a good distraction much as the ebola scare served to distract from what the 'other' hand was doing. Just another thought.

north korea is a paper tiger. those who work at the highest levels of the government of the usa do their best to prop the regime up as previous people in our same government propped up the soviet union.
ignore them and just get on with life .

What's next? When the flick is offered on DVD, will the blowhard North Koreans threaten to blow up all the Netflix sites and store chains like Walmart?
Speaking of Netflix, which I inexpensively email use to have DVDs snailmailed, will Commie pseudo-terrorists hack me out when I order it?
Which I now fully intend to do. Oh, I'm so scared.

I believe a good response is to not show the movie in cinema theatres, where it will indeed put people at risk, but to immediately release it for free via any of the online movie providers. DVD's would be good too. (I would buy one...and then just throw it away, since I have no desire to watch it. But I would buy it to provide some tangible support for Sony against Kim Jong Un and hacker-terrorism.)

Similarly, there should be a ton of anonymous anti-Moslem media made and openly available online. It is actually dangerous for anyone to speak out against Mohamedism. We should not tolerate that 'danger' but show that it is useless for them to object, because the anonymous producers are shadows they cannot find.

Let me state that I am not anti-Moslem. That religion, as manifested in the Middle Ages, has the almost unique distinction of being the only major religion which stated, "Since Allah created the universe, the study of that universe - ie Science - is considered a way of worshiping Allah." What I am against is immunity to criticism.

I agree with Sony's decision as long as they have a plan to release the movie again as a documentary rather than a comedy.

Another option would be to release the movie to television immediately. Who are they going to bomb then?

We have a President who doesn't care about the United States. This is not his country or people. I believe he is not a citizen of this country. That why he has weakened the military and has made a number of blunders in foreign affairs. If he- BHO had any tech sense he would ask the NSA and FBI to offer all the hackers in the US their own agency to cyber attack at will No. Korea, China and Russia. Then, to find a back door to ISIS to steal their funding which the hackers can have.

Let's see, Ovomit has done nothing to discourage Muslims to kill Americans in America and now his buddies in Hollywood have incited the N. Koreans to do the same. Wonderful....

While I'm pissed about this whole thing, I'm MORE pissed that Sony made this stupid freaking movie in the first place.

Watching the previews for it, they aim to make Kim Jong Un seem like "just a normal guy". This guy is one of the most horrific human beings on planet Earth. Josef Stalin, Adolf Hitler, and (were he a real human being), Adelai Nisaka are probably the only ones I can think of in recent history that can give him a run for his money.

He oversees one of the most disgusting regimes on the planet, where they imprison people for any disent whatsoever. Tens or hundreds of thousands of people are held in concentration camps today, where they're used for human experiments, tortured, forced labor beyond anything you can imagine, etc.

This movie is disgusting. ANY glossing over of this guy is spitting in the face of millions suffering under him just by living in "his" country, and pissing on the graves of the millions who have died or directly been murdered by him.

I think you may be confusing him with his father. Kim Jong Un is an idiot. Literally. He's a figurehead - a pompous windbag. It was his father before him that was the scumbag. Sure, he's probably used his position to fulfill selfish desires, but Kim Jong Il (the father) was the real scumbag.
