Excellent article. I don't buy in to that this is merely due to skin color, I think that there's a lot of support to the fundamental objectives as well.

"But for affirmative action, white guilt, and something-for-nothing politics, Barack Obama would be a Legal Aid lawyer somewhere, and probably not a very good one." Straight Line Logic, "Losers Take All," 12/6/14.

Before he was ever elected, I said Obama was a loser and his program would be a disaster. My analysis had nothing to do with his skin color, and I refused to temper or modify it because he was black. I refuse to feel guilty about crimes I never committed. Nor do I think I owe blacks, as a race, anything at all for crimes my ancestors may or may not have committed, any more than I think I am compensation for crimes that might have been committed against my ancestors. The only promise I make to blacks, as individuals, is the same one I make to everyone else: I will judge you as an individual.

Bravo! I taught black students at community colleges for several years and this attitude (along with authentic course content) always earned me respect from students, if not always their homework. In fact, a few students attacked some white bleeding heart instructors. Deservedly, the liberals lost : )

Not that you will ever convince black people that the first and last slaves in the USA were Irish!! The worst part was that the Irish were treated worse than blacks ever were. A black slave was worth 4 times that of an Irish slave so rather than just beat them many many Irish slaves were just killed!!! The worst part is that the Irish were also not allowed to own property well into the middle of the 20 century. I am Irish. Irish people did not own slaves, they were slaves. So does that mean there should be a litmus test on what whites the blacks should hate???

My ancestors also were such. And then there were the Chinese on the west coast. But you never hear of those peoples wallowing in the pity of their heritage. It is only the Dems who continually shovel the pity onto them.

How do we make people see that they are being manipulated and silenced by guilt....unearned guilt that they are buying into? And why are people who are not racist soooo scared of being called a racist (usually by racists themselves)?

Great questions. I can't help but think it is a product of people just getting dumber across the board. Therefore: drink less fluoride, stop consuming mercury, turn off the tv, take any input from public schools with a grain of salt, read, don't listen to rap music.....

the 0-boy and i do mean boy has created an environment that has encouraged many black people to also ignore the rule of law. and what i think is atrocious is the fact that black people who have had the opportunity to earn great amounts of money due to their talent ability etc such as those in the entertainment business on all levels to include professional basketball or football players to also express disdain for the rule of law. i need not name any as you have read or seen on the tube these people. since i think these athletes as well as singers and dancers are in fact not very bright i will no longer participate as a viewer of their antics.

If being BLACK was the only qualification for being president of the US, Obama would be a star. But as to the real qualifications that are needed, like judgment, experience, a degree of humility- he has NONE of those. The voters fell for his "change" mantra, and they got what they wanted. But they forgot to ask what kind of change they were going to get. I would vote today to get rid of him NOW. In the meantime, gridlock is the watchword so that no more of his nonsense gets passed.

That would only help if the executive took their oath and executed on it faithfully. Tyrants have no need to constrain themselves to described powers, they do whatever they please. And this one cannot even generate sufficient animosity in the opposing party let alone branches of gov't to have them rise up and try to stop anything.

The color in not why it is happening but the color is being used to make it happen. How many time have we heard if we disagree with Obama we are racist. No one wants to be seen as a racist.

    Funny thing:
My ancestors were the folks who started and ran the Underground Railroad.
Do you suppose I can or will get CREDIT for their actions?

'course not. But then BHO, who's ancestors have nothing at all to do with the history of slavery in this nation, gets credit for being "black" (even if some actually do recognize this and say he's not "black enough.")

Good article but I find that he was a bit off, for example.

"When the Progressive Left began their takeover of academia in the 1960’s"

That was when we started to see major changes as a result of the progressive left having infected our colleges back in Wilson's Princeton years as dean. Where the concept of case law, rather than constitutional law was the start.

IN 1930s it was deemed by our supreme court that social security was unconstitutional if Americans were forced to pay into it. A little more than 30 years later we have the switch from a purely voluntary fund for personal retirement saves to the forced system that was unconstitutional.

The 60s were not the start of the education invasion it was the start of the results of invading education nearly 60 years earlier. Our supreme court judges were not educated constitutional law but case law as the primary factor to determine constitutionality. Enough of them bought into it to reverse the idea that Americans could not be forced to buy something.
