GOP senator warns of violence after immigration order

O wants violence and anarchy...its why DHS bought all that ammo and why there has been training on US soil to deal with urban scenarios. This is a stepping stone to imposing martial law and, potentially, extending his term in office indefinitely. If teh GOP had any fidelity to this country and any character as an American party that represents the American people and their interests they would have a charge of treason ready the second he plays king. He is circumventing the entire US government, ignoring his oath of office, and deliberately creating anarchy.

I hope you are wrong AJ but afraid you are not. This guy has to be removed from office if he does this. If not, it will not matter what part has it, they will do the same thing.

Senator Tom Coburn is one of the best senators in US history. His dedication to the Constitution and to fiscal sanity by identifying wasteful spending that should be eliminated is a breath of fresh air in the corrupt town of DC. It's sad to see him retire early. I wish him the best in his battle with cancer. He has been a true patriot and served us well. Well done, Senator Coburn...

    AJAshinoff -

I too hope that you are wrong. I hope that the President is not deliberately inciting civil disturbance so that he can have an excuse to impose martial law and stay in power. I take as a guiding proverb, "Do not attribute to malice that which may be explained by stupidity." I think that it is more likely that Obama is single-mindedly trying to cram through one more law for 'his side' without considering consequence.

I agree with sfdi that the question of 'what the president would command during a civil strife' and 'what the military would do during a civil strife' are two separate quantities. At times, when the president is respected by the military, A ~= to B. I do not think that this is one of those times.

O isn't stupid or naive. He is bought and paid for to deconstruct this Nation. Our enemies could not defeat us militarily nor overcome us economically or socially so they used our strength (stubborn lawfulness and national arrogance) and bought the White House. My only question about O is whether a muslim nation or group of nations, the Russians, or the Chinese paid for his services. I might add, if this is true, and someone seeded a muslim manchurian candidate, he's doing a fantastic job splintering every single pillar that supported this country's greatness.

I agree AJ. I have been saying this for about 5 years. Just before O was elected, I watched the Left Behind series (3) and I thought then that this man was Nicoli Carpathian... It scared me then and it scares me even more now. A smooth talker with evil thoughts in his head about America!!!!

In the wake of Katrina, marshall law was imposed and soldiers went door to door and confiscated people 's weapons. So yea, I don 't think the military will be on our side when the disaster hits

I have been reading "The Accidental Admiral" by Adm. James Stavridis. I'm completely taken aback on the many high ranking officers were removed from not only from the middle east theater of combat but in the Pentagon also. Some of them were remove on trumped up charges from the White House. In this book the Admiral was investigated on improprieties by an unnamed person probably from the White House. He was cleared by Naval Investigators. But, due to the damaged to his leadership he retired. To me this is unconscionable. BHO is literally dismantling the Command Structure of the Military Services. I anyone who would be upset with the Pres. the military would be.

Anarchy means "no rulers," it does not mean chaos or violence. I think Obama - or, rather, those for whom he is a puppet - still want to be rulers over us, so I don't think their intention is anarchy. Chaos and violence may be planned, but not anarchy.

I seriously doubt this would fly in the United States. I used to live in an Air Force town and the military people (aside from their oath to protect the Constitution against all foes - foreign or DOMESTIC) wouldn't conscion such. If you had a conscription army like China or a politically powerful army like Egypt, I can see a coup. But fundamentally, our warriors in the Armed Services fight for our Country - not our President.

Of course, I wouldn't want a situation in which my faith in the Services would be challenged.

True Blarman but wouldn't that also mean that since BO took a similar oath that by law he must remove himself? You may have underestimated our military or at least our Veterans!!!

jp, this president does not have a conscience. . I took
the same oath in 1971 as a new 2Lt. . I still carry
that oath as a retired reserve LC. . if this president
had taken the oath seriously, he would have resigned
in 2009 as he lied about the health insurance law. -- j

Most Liberals don't. There should have been at least 10 people in BO's administration that should have resigned, including Hilary Clinton for the Bengasi fiasco!!! I also took that oath and retired in 1997. I even carry a pocket Constitution. I think there are more vets ready to do what is necessary if need be. Why do you think the Administration is trying to disarm veterans???

Megyn Kelly's first guest, speechwriter for W,
correctly identified BHO's actions as cynical --
directly intended to drive the Republicans into
the corner of taking an unpopular action like
impeaching the "first black president." . the
"violence" may occur behind closed doors
when Cruz faces Boehner, steam rolling
    from his ears. -- j

AJ; Served in the ranks for thirty years, and in spite of Obama's political maneuvering, I can't envision more than a hand full of people less than ES 3 - GS 15 responding in the way you predict. You definitely won't get that from the Military, they are not in lockstep with the extreme liberals. You might, at the most severe extent see a minor revolution or the temporary dissolution of the Union. And in the Cities the Have Nots will riot but they will not get what they want, they will have survival problems because needed stuff will not get thru.
You can have all the ammo in the world, without shooters, it doesn't have any effect. The vast majority are good people, you can see that in disaster after disaster. We will pull together, push comes to shove, we always have.

Where I live, 200 miles north of the Mexican border, its been a freakin powder keg waiting for something like this to send the illegals and those who support them into a frenzy. Fact is O will overstep any degree of authority he has, he will ignore his oath of office and the Constitution, and attempt to impose law by decree using executive orders (something we shucked off in 1783). In other words the separation of powers means nothing, the rule of law is dead, and national sovereignty does not exist. While I respect that you served 30 years it baffles me how you can marginalize and trivialize this.

As for the vast majority being good people - they are ALL law breakers having entered this country illegally. Being nice doesn't make up for knowingly breaking our laws.

I will not go ballistic...I've given up on the people of this country some time ago to react with rash anger. However, I do feel sorry for those who come for me,mine or whats mine.

AJ; if you are implying that our soldiers in the ranks will follow an illegal order to fire on Americans, you don't know them too well, and I was speaking of the vast majority of AMERICANS, but since you brought it up, most of the Illegals are good people too, forced to do exactly what you would do to care for you wife and kids. Yea they broke the law, don't you? I certainly do. I drive too fast, and other stuff too. And I'd take care of my wife too, even at the expense of someone else's.

You sure about our soldiers? What about the German soldiers during the holocaust? I'm pretty sure loading people onto trains like cattle to the slaughter, beating people, starving people were not lawful orders, yet they were done regularly by the majority of Hitlers army.

So its okay to violate our laws and drain our system (and cripple my sister)- a bit more than speeding - because they have need? That makes everything OK?

AJ, Think you'd better check your history, Eisenstatz Gruppe were not even SS, most were low level criminals who were part of Himmler's personally controlled Gestapo. Few if any Waffen SS, though they were brutal in the battlefield participated, and several found their whole families tortured to death after they refused a Gestapo Order. The Wehrmacht (Regular Army) was kept on the front and several highly decorated Officers were imprisoned or executed, one Col Albert Jodl, son of the COS Army, for using his troops to stop a train near donesk in the Ukraine after which he freed about 5,000 Jews and Romani.
Then again, this is the USA not Europe, our soldiers think, most of the time, before they act, and our officers, can and have refused orders that violate laws. Why do you think Stan McCrystal was relieved, for real? For sure it wasn't because he thought Obama was such a good guy.

That wasn't the point I was making....the large majority of the German army fell in line with Hitler. Not everyone manning a gas chamber, starving a person, beating a person, or carrying a gun into war was a handpicked "thug", most were regular guys who sought honor serving their country and "followed orders". A buddy of mine, a German national living in Germany, told me that the name Hitler can't even be mentioned publicly without evoking national shame. While I understand lawful orders in a military setting its easy for someone like O to remove good people to replace them with yes men and even easier for soldiers to follow orders trusting in their leadership (even unworthy leadership). I pause when I consider whether a soldier would lift a gun, point it at me on US soil, and fire. I'm a veteran and I can't trust this government in any capacity for anything.

In truth AJ, no one will ever know for sure until the time comes, I served for thirty years and even the worst drunk/heads I dealt with had a conscience. I trust the individual soldiers, and most of the officers below O8, and maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think so. I never said trust the politicians or the ESE bureaucrats.

I live in New Mexico and it seems to be a forgotten border crossing point. All the talk is about Texas and Arizona. There are a lot of crossings here and it is flatter with little to no fencing. We even have a crossing that is on the honor system, no Border Patrol, just a barbed wire fence with a gate and a log book. Columbus, a town near the border was raided and most city officials were arrested for being in cahoots with the cartels. Border Patrol doesn't seem to be worried about the border but I have to go through something like 3 checkpoints between El Paso and Alamogordo. I live in Clovis, which is about half way up the Texas/New Mexico border and we have not had much of a problem this far from the border. However, I still have my Beretta 9mm and Mossberg 12 Gauge armed and ready.

Whenever this POS says anything he's taking all eyes off what he's really up to. No doubt he will do "something" tomorrow and that something is probably just short of his being impeached and far short of being tried for treason (which he deserves) but suck just the same for the American people. If he goes as far as his bluster he is complete contrast to his office and his duty as POTUS.

Or if you believe some of them, they just don't want to put Joe Biden in office. One of the unintended consequences of electing the VP from the same party as the President instead of the opposing party. It severely undermined the threat of Impeachment and Conviction.

Gowdy is one of the rare politicians that actually speaks plainly without considering how it will affect his reelection, however, he is wrong about Biden being the communists insurance policy, consider the third world dictator that is finally taken by the people and stood in front of a rifle squad, after the echos fade, his replacement is then asked "which path will you follow?"

You're assuming that the replacement is logical, however. I think that was part of Gowdy's jab - that Biden is too much an idiot to realize the peril. And based on his prior gaffes, there is likely merit to his suggestion.

Everyone I know has been adversely impacted by illegal aliens in Arizona. My sister has been crippled by one woman who was let go by sympathetic hispanic policemen and fled the country back to mexico - my sister is still hobbled after spending months in the hospital and enduring multiple surgeries (she still has an enormous bill too) I have a firm grip on reality and an uncanny ability to see whats coming long before it arrives. Oh yeah, lets just ignore that ONE thing I mentioned. Would you like a list?

I strongly suggest you reevaluate your perspective because it is completely out of touch with reality.

No need, she's okay now but will forever wear a scar on her face and walk with a cane. Far too many people make concessions for these lawless people. They violate everything this country stands for and some here say okay and make excuses. What makes them exempt?

There have been too many Americans killed, too many Americans displaced, too many Americans maimed by these "poor human beings" for me to give one iota what happens to them or what has happened to them. They deserve no representation in this country (except maybe from a lawyer). Its an insult to think that any American politician side with illegal aliens over the American people who elected them and who they are, by oath, sworn to represent.

AJ gets a little worked up from time to time but it’s not the North Korean’s Department of Education who bought up 1.6 billion rounds of ammo. It was Obama who created the no-bottom floor for this fun ride. Of course, there is going to be those of us who occasionally think him capable of anything.
