The plate on my truck is TRGR HPY , tax office had some issues with the request until I told them I was a pro photographer - then they had no issue. I have noticed folks don`t seem to ride my ass as much now...

    "For our rights." Right on.

The New Hampshire result disappoints me, however. How does Jeanne Shaheen, a Senator who "ratted out" the American people to the taxman, still get re-elected?

Because she's got the likely State Science Institute campus to stump for votes, that's how.

I can't count how many times I said last night: "You people are so stupid!" with several of the results.

Me too (lot's of stupid people in the other Washington, the one on the left side of the country). Everything I voted for failed, and everything I voted against passed. I can no longer let my daughter shoot any of my guns, or even touch them. I guess we'll have to buy some more so she can have her own.

My msg posted under, and in reply to rockymiountainpirate above. He said,"I can't count how many times I said last night: "You people are so stupid!" with several of the results." I replied under his comment, "Me too".. And, I'm in Washington State, the state with the most strict gun CONTROL in the country now. Stupid useless law, only to make felons out of law abiding citizens. It's not about gun control, it's just about control, for now..

              a) rockymountainpirate is a she
              b) I know all about the CONTROL aspect
              c) if they make enough laws you'll be forced to break some sooner or later to survive
but anyway...my question was more about why your daughter can't touch your guns...what am I missing?
              d) I'm a girl too. ;)

                a) My apologies rockymountainpirate, I didn't know.
                b) Yes, then comes confiscation, remember A. Hitler?
                c) Already broke one, I showed my son my new SigSauer, and actually let him handle it (I didn't transfer it to him, nor transfer it back to me per the new law). The law says if you handle (touch) a gun (handgun) you are in possession of it. ALL new possessions requires a transfer. ALL transfers require a background check. If you loan one you need to transfer it, then to get it back another transfer and background check is required. I'm not kidding, this is what Bloomberg's money got us in WA State, a ridiculously stupid law.
                d) My apologies just in case I errored in the past. Now I'm starting to get the picture. I've wondered for quite sometime why everyone seems so pleasant and nice on the site. But then, I'm just a guy. Seriously though this site seems to draws all fantastic people. Probably more "girls" than I know.

I understand this law differently than you do. I love that they refer to it as common sense law. Gag.

I checked out your linked article and the video too. I was surprised that the video was Fox 13, but I can assume the video portion was only news on the election only, not the nitty gritty on the bill. The article only covered the part of the bill that they (Bloomberg, Ballmer, Gates) wanted you to know about. It was not truthful, unless omission of facts constitutes the truth. And, it did not cover the real intention of the bill. I belong to WAC (Washington Arms Collectors) and I read the whole bill cover to cover. It is poorly written and has a lot of hidden pork in it, I thought I was reading the Affordable Care Act.

The real intention of this bill is not background checks, it’s really to eventually get a gun registry so “the government” can confiscate arms whenever they decide to. Remember what they did in Louisiana during the big storm, they confiscated peoples guns without due process. Those that were trying to protect their property had to give in to the criminals, the looters. This bill effectively allows that to happen legally. First of all much publicity on this bill stated you could buy a gun at a gun show without a background check, that is a pure and simple lie. In fact to buy at a gun show here, you must be a member, non-members cannot buy, period. And all members get an automatic background check just to become a member. In addition, when a purchase is made another background check is done.

The bill also makes it illegal for someone else other than the specific owner to get possession (put it in their hand, or the ability to take it) without a background check. That makes it illegal for my daughter/wife/son/or you and I to go shooting and try out each other’s pistol. You can only touch yours, you can’t touch mine. If we do so, the law requires us to “transfer” them first (a background check), and when we “transfer” them back we need to do another background check.

If they wanted a bill to insure that a law to prevent street trades/selling of guns why wouldn’t they have written a bill for that and not made my wife a felon if she does not “transfer” (with background checks) my arms through an FFL within 60 days after I die, and without any latitude whatsoever. When a bill is written like it was it makes it quite obvious to me what the real intent is. Also now, under the law, the defensive piece my wife and I would have normally shared if we need it can only be used by the owner. I guess I’ll have to get another biometric handgun safe for her side of the bed as well and stock it with her own personal weapon.

Some advocates say they will just ignore those parts of the bill that don’t make any sense. It must be like the 35 MPH speed limit on the road behind my house, even 50 or 60 MPH seems to be ignored.

The false intent of this bill was advertised to prevent undocumented street deals, but they added a lot of garbage. Most criminals will now be making their deal at an FFL so they can conform to this new law, and of course it will prevent or at least lower the possibility of some horny kid shooting some guy that took his girl friend. Sorry, but that is the truth. The truth, that is something we don’t teach much anymore.

That is a pretty imbecilic law indeed. I hope you break it often and forever. Honestly, what kind of moronic assholes think that makes ANY sense whatsoever? Well, they don't think...it's that CONTROL angle. This is in WA State? Maybe time to shrug to TX or AZ. Holy Hell. :( Kind of reminds me that I can't have my teenage son move alcholic beverages from the store's bagging area into our grocery cart...or from the cart into the car... as if he could digest it via osmosis...OR that I don't have my teenage son with me to help with the chore of shopping. grrrrr. Once my sister took my son to the store..while she was there she decided to grab a four pack of wine coolers... they would not sell them to her with a minor in tow that wasn't her son.. I kid you not... I marched in there when I heard the story, with them, and had it out with the manager, bought the coolers and left. What is this world coming to??!!!
Just about everyone on this site IS pleasant (fyi...however we don't like the word "nice"..it's too vague of a word and often misleading..lol... we have discussions about word definitions in here.... for example...I know a lot of "nice" people...who can't carry on a conversation about anything important... :))
Anyway, the gender guessing game that goes on in here is entertaining... for example... khalling thought I was a guy for a while...and had a crush on me... yes..khalling is a girl too...okay I've bored you enough with gulch talk..)
Wait, one more question.... what if you're in a gun store and you want to hold a gun for a few moments to see if you want to purchase it, does paperwork need to be filled out then too? Can't wrap my head around this law at all.

Wow, I would have told them I had no idea who the kid was that appeared to be in tow. I don't know the new rules in a gun store.
You can have a crush on anyone you please, perhaps anything in the future.
I have no idea about gun store new rules, I'll go and check when my daughter goes to buy her own.

Neal, pack it up and "shrug" to more favorable climes. I'm sure it was the big population areas in WA state which passed this stupid law. Your children and their children will thank you in the future. WA state is done, unless the common sense folks can get this law overturned via court proceedings or something like that.
LetsShrug has a good question re: gun store. Hmmmm. Should be interesting to see how the state polices this one. Glad I'm not there anymore.

We're surrounded by stupid. Now, if only there were nice valley in the mountains surrounded by impassable mountains and protected overhead by an ingenious skyscreen to keep the drones and snooper satelites at bay. Perhaps we'd invite a few thousand of our closest, like minded friends over to settle the place. I can see it now. We'd name it after something we all revere, this website perhaps. :)

Why so much negativity? I'll take the high road and be grateful that subject if rights is bring raised. Then we can define our terms and talk about what's appropriate.
