A similar stunt was played on my father in 1986. He'd made the Mayoral ballot in Manitowoc, WI. "They" placed his name on another quadrant of the voting machine...above most folks eye level. Interestingly, he received a record number of votes for anyone in any Wisconsin election as a write-in. He lost the election. He lost count of the folks who had expressed not seeing his name on the "machine". Hope NY votes down duplicity!
