The People vs. Barack Obama: The Criminal Case Against The Obama Administration Book Review, 10-12-2014
Author, Ben Shapiro Political Science, 214 pgs. ISBN 978-1-4767-6513-6

Author Ben Shapiro is editor-in-chief of Truth Revolt .com, and editor-at-large of Breitbart.com. He graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a BA in Political Science from UCLA in 2004 and graduated from Harvard Law School cum laude in 2007. He has written five previous books including the New York Times bestseller Bullies: How the Left’s Culture of Fear and Intimidation Silences Americans.

The 214 pages chronicle seven counts of criminal activity. 1. Espionage, 2. Involuntary Manslaughter, 3. Violation of Internal Revenue Laws, 4. Unauthorized Disclosure of Information, 5. Deprivation of Rights Under color of Law, 6. Bribery and 7. Obstruction of Justice. U.S. and State codes are provided along with the evidence and references.

Hearing and reading the evidence presented you would be hard pressed to imagine how the accused have managed to stay out of prison thus far. You would also be forced to conclude that this has been the most corrupt and criminal Executive branch of the U.S. ever. For many, culpability is plain. For others plausible deniability is maintained, but the preponderance of evidence is against them. For them incompetence is the best judgment possible. The laws and Constitution have been mere recommendations for this administration. If the actions of this administration are seen as acceptable precedent, the future of the Republic is bleak.

“Time and again, Barack Obama has blithely overlooked the criminality of members of his own administration. Were these crimes presented before a judge and jury and were Obama stripped of executive privilege, his bureaucrat lackeys—and the kingpin himself---could find themselves behind bars. But thanks to an epidemic of blind, obsequious president worship—and the unfettered growth of executive power—he goes unchallenged.”

The book is well written and I would like to say it is an enjoyable read, but the facts presented leave one distressed by the conversion of our Republic from a nation of laws to a nation of men. Fears of being labeled racist, political correctness and a complicit band of sycophants in the media as well as a weak opposition party have thus far allowed this administration to bring the state of our political system to a new low. Law has been arbitrary since the Attorney General has been the president’s right hand instead of an unbiased enforcer of law.

Honest historians will have a most difficult time trying to put a positive spin on this administration’s activities.

Respectfully,
O.A.
