Pretty cool. My wife and I went out to dinner one night and a couple was sitting next to us with their teenage daughter. All three were on their cell phones until the meal came. It made me wonder why they even bothered to go out.
Somebody told me that when they go out to dinner everyone has to put their cell phone face down on the table. First one to check their phone picks up the check.
I can't believe NO ONE commented on this. I found it entertaining and believe people need to start talking TO each other...sit and have dinner together, share your days experiences and discuss the latest world happenings, which could last long into the night... I don't have a problem with I, but we, as a family, talk about everything. I wouldn't have it any other way :-)
Agreed, but I think, as usual, this is a self responsibility issue, not a technology issue. Why do we blame objects for bad human behavior? (I'm talking about adults here, kids' gadget time should be monitored by parents, that's the parents' job.)
Well...'no' hurts feelings...it sometimes starts an argument that they want to avoid and how can you be your child's best friend if you're saying 'no'... (parents used to be grown ups...and want their kids to be disciplined and polite...remember America? We're becoming a thing of the past...like knowing how to cook...or participating in a conversation.)
4 years looking at your cell phones, compared to 1/3 of your life wasted in sleep.
OMG... here's a clue...if you want me to pay attention to your message... DON'T EFFING RAP!
