Whoa! Good job for Raven, I've always liked her, now I know why. Working with Bill Cosby must have made an impression on her, he typically tells the truth.

I was confused by Oprah's reaction. At first I thought it was just a joke, but it seems like Oprah really thinks it's controversial just say you're an American and your physical traits don't define you.

Dang I just spent some time on iTunes listening to her music, it's a bit too pop for me but I'm gonna buy one album. I believe what she said is brilliant, and right on the money.

Next time I'm asked my "race" or ethnicity, I'm checking (or writing in) Other : American.

For fun during the past 20 years or so, I've rotated labels between African American, Pacific Islander, Hispanic, Hawaiian, Native American, Asian....you know how ever. But that still gives em data. Those days are over.
