Interesting assembly of reasoning for Holder bailing on his bro.... someday someone will actually get caught, but then, Clinton got away with it for 2 terms..

I can think of two possible reasons for his resignation: 1. He got sick of dealing with all the controversy and it wore him down, or 2. He was quietly told to resign by Obama to keep him from testifying and so Obama could look like he was putting a better puppet...er person, into the position.

This contempt proceeding is only one of at least four reasons I can think of for his resigning. The other three are:

    1. The IRS scandal,

    2. The Benghazi scandal, and

    3. The possibly impending death or resignation of Mme. Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

As I read the description of Fast and Furious I can't help but think, "Only an insane person would try this." WTH is wrong with these people?...

He does not need to resign to the appointed to the SCOTUS.
Far more likely, the democrats want to distance themselves from the Holder liability for the next election. Obama can still use him to carry his briefcase for speeches.

I followed the links, but did not find any source for this except for exact quotes of "ruling today by a federal judge that the contempt of Congress citation against Holder can proceed to the next level." including the word 'today'. It bothers me when data makes a closed circle, with everyone quoting each other.

Does anyone have some other source for this?

Simple. He's been wanting to leave for some time, but there was always some controversy. Recently, there has been a short period of time without a controversy (Ferguson the latest), so he figured he'd leave during a lull instead of as a result of controversy.
