At what point does traveling to a foreign country to fight with the army intent on overthrowing your own country become treason? If it is treason, does the government then have the right to seize the passport, or restrict re-entry?

I see a very slippery slope here and what's at the bottom is really ugly.

Cameron is crapping his pants because UKIP is about to sweep an upcoming election.
UKIP leads in the polls an incredible 44% ahead of the second place Tories.
Polled UKIP members say their #1 concern (at 36%) is immigration.
Immigration in this case is a euphamism for the Islamization of Britain.

Cameron has to be seen doing *something* before the election.

UKIP = Tea Party... Hello America... The Brits are doing it again as WE have forgotten our roots and our past! November is coming, WE need the senate... this is probably OUR last chance! The alternatives are bleak.
