With all due respect, the 'honorable' representative's district is
    38% hispanic
    37% foreign born
    She has a vested interest.

That may be true, but it is not a license to endorse illegal actions and justify them with "Well they made it past your shitty borders" justification. By that logic, anyone who represents such groups will have a vested interest in not folowing law, or ensuring that the borders are regulated. So it is a case of eaten from within.

It was an explanation (not an endorsement) of her actions which are repeated by virtually every politician. Yes, anyone who represents such groups will have a vested interest in not following law. Politicians and government in general should have as little power as possible because all of them can only be trusted to use power for their own advantage. Power corrupts everyone. The solution is wide decentralization of power, and lots of competition between petty criminal politicians to provide entertainment as they accomplish nothing (and waste little) beyond the strict stipulations of the original intent of the constitution and the Bill of Rights.

And thus you have exposed the weak point in almost any system of governance. Whoever has the upper edge will always use it to the detriment of the others to either obtain or secure control such that they think they cannot be usurped. Exactly where we are today. This is just a change in the current and subject of power, as a new player appears. There will be a total amnesty and open border within 5-7 years and then a blending of governments into a single organism. NAFTA was a start, but look south of the border at the anarchy there and ask yourself if you are prepared for that here.

"essentially have become a part of the backbone of our economy"
This is true b/c we've looked the other way for so long. It's not something to be proud of. Drug trade and sex trade are also large parts of our economy. The economy is people finding someone with a need or want and providing it.
