Very interesting Kaila had picked up on it. In our novel, the pig is a test subject for a heart procedure. As the article states, people are now working on 3D printing of organs and this is somewhere in between.

It will probably take 1/10th of the money and time to perfect the technology and 9/10ths to deal with the FDA and other government BS.

More than 25 years ago, my wife's uncle had a heart valve from a pig put in. They told him to expect it to last 10 years. He's still going strong!!

It will be very interesting to see where this goes.
