60yo nurse practitioner in rural Virginia. Closest cities Knoxville or Kingsport TN. Working on building up medical supplies and learning self-sufficient gardening and herbal medicine. I'd never read AS until a few years ago, when the chatter about it started to increase. Scared me to death, and I see more signs of it around me every day. Been there, haven't really done that, but got the (Now Non-Fiction) T-shirt. :) Planning to get more, so that can be my daily non-work wear and hopefully generate conversation. Unfortunately, the majority of people around here have never been more than 100mi from hoime, have never even heard of AS, and don't care about it. I do have some like-minded friends in the general Knoxville/Newport area and would be thrilled to meet more- it's lonely out here. Objectivists who like Irish music would be even better, and Objectivists who play would be a dream. :) I know there's at least one other Gulcher in the Knoxville area; saw another T-shirt the night we went to AS#, but didn't get a chance to talk to them.
