    While listening to Ed Hudgins talk about epistemology, I just happened to be going through a student's thesis for whom I am the outside committee member. The project is on how to quantify the value of freehand sketches as the first step in solving engineering problems. I then realized that what this student needed was to read the link below and Rand's book on Introduction to Objectivist Epistemology.
